Before every departure, an aircraft must be refuelled safely, reliably and on time. An electric refuelling vehicle is only valuable if it can keep pace with the demand at a busy airport. The electric refuelling dispenser replaces a diesel-powered vehicle and connects aircraft to the airport’s underground fuel network. Over two years, it completed more than 8,000 refuelling operations, showing that electric refuelling can perform reliably under demanding airport conditions. The test also delivered practical insight into battery performance in different weather and operational situations, helping prepare wider deployment.
