Mobility Databox

Not every commute can change. Early shifts, long distances or poor connections can make the car hard to avoid. The Mobility Databox shows where more sustainable options are realistic.

Changing how employees get to work starts with understanding their daily reality. Developed by digital services company Sopra Steria and tested with three airports (Brussels Airport, Athens International Airport and Toulouse Airport), the tool brings together data from companies, airport operations and infrastructure. It also adds contextual information such as weather conditions, air quality and emissions.  

The tool shows how employees travel today, where bottlenecks appear and where train, bike or carpool could realistically work. The clearer the data, the better airports can focus their actions where they make the biggest difference.
