Stargate hosted a pivotal gathering at Brussels Airport on 13 October 2025: the SAF Downstream Supply Chain Forum. This event brought together leading European stakeholders committed to accelerating the transition to Sustainable Aviation Fuel (#SAF).

Tackling the Supply Chain Challenge

The event successfully tackled the full spectrum of downstream challenges facing SAF. Five rich sessions brought together voices from airports, airlines, regulators, fuel producers, and infrastructure providers to explore everything from market outlooks and infrastructure realities to policy frameworks and future fuel technologies.

Key Outcomes and Highlights:

  • Market Insights: We analysed market data from Argus Media, SkyNRG, and Hasselt University, showcasing crucial Stargate airport use cases (Athens, Brussels, Budapest, and Toulouse).
  • Policy into Action: A dynamic roundtable featuring DG MOVE, ACI EUROPE, TotalEnergies, bp, and DHL translated policy objectives into operational realities.
  • Blending and Certification: bp and Skytanking provided a deep dive into blending processes, including insights from Stargate’s mobile blending project.
  • Traceability: We shared lessons learned from our SAF purchase pilot and explored the future of traceability with The Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB) and To70 Aviation.
  • Future Readiness: Rolls-Royce and Airbus led a forward-looking debate on achieving 100% SAF readiness.
