Making electric mobility work also means making charging smarter. The project looked at how different electric vehicles charge and what happens when they all draw power from the same local electricity network. From airport fleet vehicles and electric buses to ground support equipment and an electric fuel dispenser, each has its own charging needs.
By understanding when demand peaks and how charging can be managed more intelligently, airports can make better use of the electricity available, keep energy costs under control and plan future charging infrastructure where it is needed most.
